Admin day in Mackinaw City

Mackinac Bridge
Laundry and some boat improvement activities filled our day, a nice sunny one I might add, here in Mackinaw City. I installed a new pump that will be used to provide pressure water from the lake for cleaning mud off the anchor and rinse the boat when we are away from a dock. We also had a new food treat that is a fixture up here in the Upper Peninsula and that is a "pasty". No, that's not a "pasty like a stripper would wear but is basically a meal in a crust wrapper and was a way miners in the old days could carry a full meal with them to work. Here's more info on Michigan pasties if you are interested. In the end I think we would try them again and don't know why it's taken this long to discover them.

The only other noteworthy event besides the lack of rain, was a visit by the newest Great Lakes icebreaker, the Cutter Mackinaw, at a dock right by us.
